A young mother has died after being hit and run by a car in Brisbane’s south yesterday morning.
The 23-year-old woman was walking along a pedestrian crossing on Allamanda Drive in Daisy Hill shortly after 9am when she was struck.
Police said the driver of the silver Toyota sports car failed to remain at the scene.
The mother was left unconscious and was attended to by witnesses, including an off-duty nurse.
She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later died.
Police are still searching for the driver of a silver Toyota Prado who was seen leaving the scene.
Anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
