CM Punk is back and announces that he has been given the green light to appear on WWE Raw.
WWE Raw announced the return of CM Punk, who announced that he is ready for SummerSlam, Lyra Valkyria vs. Sonya Deville, The Final Testament vs. Otis, Akira Tozawa vs. Xavier Woods, and a decisive match between Damian Priest and GUNTHER.
Last week’s WWE Raw drew 1.669 million viewers.

Damian Priest and Gunther fight
The real fight between Damian and Gunther started when Priest punched Gunther right in the face. It was obvious from there.
After the GUNTHER and McIntyre brawl, Jackie Redmond was interviewed where more brawling took place between the two backstage. They were both ejected from the arena afterwards. WWE does a great job of building this feud as a heated personal grudge given the limited time they have to do so.
Damian Priest and Gunther’s fight Grade: A-

In a surprise that no one saw coming, Bron Breaker and Ilya Dragunov had another great match full of heavy punches. Breaker’s Frankensteiner was renamed the Brickensteiner, and Michael Cole seemed very proud of Bud McAfee for coming up with the pun.
Braun Breaker won the match via TKO after hitting a Spear on Ilya Dragunov from the outside. Michael Cole talked about the Spear, saying that Dragunov hit his head on the side of the apron, but he didn’t do that at all. WWE showed one angle of this Spear and quickly moved on to the next topic.

Sonya Deville defeats Lyra Valkyria
Michael Cole has repeatedly called Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark “The Dangers.” They still don’t have an official name for the team, but it looks like “The Danger” will be part of it.
It was a surprise that WWE was able to have Sonya Deville defeat Valkyria relatively cleanly given the intense pressure she’s been under over the past month.
Sonya Deville vs Lyra Valkyria Grade: C+
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre Officially at SummerSlam
CM Punk returned and announced that he was exonerated. He then linked his fists and challenged Drew McIntyre to a fight. Punk was so excited that he forgot to bring his sharpie to mark his fists with an X, and this feud had reached a dangerous level.
Drew McIntyre didn’t bother to confront Punk, and referees entered the ring to prevent Punk from attacking McIntyre. Adam Pearce announced Punk and McIntyre for SummerSlam, and Rollins (whose music started early) was revealed as the special guest referee.
Punk was furious when McIntyre showed off his fan-made bracelet. This might have been a better match for the bracelet than a special referee.
CM Punk-McIntyre Grade: B
The Last Testament – Written by: Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Javier Woods
The fans in Otis’ home state of Wisconsin enthusiastically chanted, “We want Otis!” and when he hit the target, the crowd melted like Dusty Rhodes Dozovic.
Fans were so excited about this match because of Otis, they were crazy about Akira Tozawa.
The Final Testament won when Karrion Kross pinned Xavier Woods. It was like the Packers losing to the Cardinals at home before they fired Mike McCarthy.
If Triple H put half as much effort into supporting Bobby Lashley and The Pride as he did in Final Testament, Lashley won’t leave.Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers faced Otis, Tozawa and Maxine. Otis declined his invitation to the New Alpha Academy and a large crowd gathered.
Creed attacked Otis’ team, and when Otis returned, the crowd went crazy again. Once again, Otis tried to hit Gable, but Creed saved Chad.
The White Six entered the ring to a huge reaction. In fact, WWE had to mute the show because the crowd chanted, “You screwed it!” The crowd went crazy when Uncle Howdy delivered a finishing blow to Gable.
After this segment, the Pete Dunne vs. Bronson Reed match was canceled when Sheamus entered the ring and attacked everyone before them.
The Last Testament vs. Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Javier Woods Grade: B+
Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan was heavily criticized when she said that “handsome guys like Dominic” don’t like girls like Rhea Ripley.
Liv Morgan encouraged Dominique to say those “three little words.” Dominique then said, “I hate you, Liv!” which is four words. Dominique then yelled at Liv in Spanish. Baby-faced Rhea liked it, but fans sympathized with Liv as she left in tears. Rhea licked and kissed Dom as the now-happy couple reunited.
WWE included a split screen during this exchange when Liv was in the stands and Dom and Rhea were in the ring.
Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Dominique Grade: A
Zelina Vega Dave. Zoe Stark
Pat McAfee launched the hashtag #PushZelina as Zelina Vega became the latest under-supported women’s wrestler to gain support on Twitter.
Kayden Carter, Lyra Valkyria, and Katana Chance successfully save Zelena Vega, opening the door for the beloved character to use her attack on Zoe Stark to win.
Zelina Vega vs Zoe Stark Grade: B-
Sami Zayn and Jey Uso vs Judgment Day
This match came about because Jey Uso was shooting at Mami.
It took about 10 minutes to get into this match.
WWE was really poking fun at the Bloodline alliance between Jay and Sami, as well as referencing The Usos’ 1D finisher. All of this is done in order to open the door for the return of Jimmy Uso.
Sami and Jey got the win after a Helluva Kick on JD McDonagh followed by a Splash from Jey. I suspect in a rematch for the tag team titles, they will lose to The Bloodline.
Raw ended with Braun Breaker hitting Sami Zayn hard and leaving.
