A woman has died on a flight between Brisbane and Melbourne.
The passenger reportedly collapsed on the Virgin Australia flight at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
The flight crew performed CPR on the woman and the aircraft was given priority to land at Melbourne Airport in Tullamarine at around 10.15am.
Emergency crews were reportedly waiting on the tarmac to help the woman.
Although the passenger was quickly removed from the plane, she later died.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
“Virgin Australia can confirm there was a medical emergency on board flight VA308 from Brisbane to Melbourne this morning,” a Virgin Australia spokesperson told Newswire.
