An Indian restaurant in North Perth has been forced to close less than a year after opening.
Twin Flame announced on Monday that they have decided to “close” their popular restaurant in Ellenbrook via a Facebook post.
The Ellenbrook store opened on September 28th of last year, leaving a short but sweet legacy for its customers in the area.
Ellenbrook store manager Trushar Patel said the reasons for the closure included “not enough cooks” and “high grocery prices”, which is not surprising given the cost of living crisis.
Mr Patel said the closure was effective “immediately”, prompting outrage from customers, who expressed their sadness in the comments section of the closure announcement on Facebook.
“To our loyal customers, friends and followers,” the post read.
“After an inspiring year, we have decided to close Twin Flame, Ellenbrook.”
“Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and to your tables. We will continue to serve at Twin Flame, Bayswater, with the same love and dedication.”
Supportive comments poured in, with one follower writing: “Oh no! We loved our meals at your restaurant, especially the thali. We wish you all the best. We will happily travel to your restaurant in Bayswater.”
Another wrote: “Sad to hear this. We have always enjoyed our meals at Ellenbrook.”
Another added: “Sad news for the community in Ellenbrook.”
Twin Flame is famous for its Thali, a large platter that offers customers a selection of 20 traditional Indian items for $32.
Twin Flame’s delicious dishes are also available through the company’s own food truck, which tours around Perth and provides catering services for special events.
