WH ripped off ‘fat lie’ at Biden border visit: President avoided the border ‘like the plague’

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was exposed during a press briefing in which she falsely claimed that President Biden has visited the southern border of the United States during his presidency.

The comments came in response to a question from Fox News’ Peter Doocy about whether the president had responded to Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s invitation to the border, to which she replied with a smile: “He’s been there. He’s been at the border. And since he took office.”

“I don’t know why she chose to lie like this in an issue where we’ve established that Joe Biden has basically avoided the southern border like the plague. Not just in terms of his career in the White House, but in terms of his career as a senator as well,” Fox News contributor Ben Domenech said Thursday on “Varney & Co.” “And that’s something that I think is just a blind spot for this entire White House, this entire administration, who would really prefer that they not have to deal with any of the consequences of the policy choices that they have taken.”

President Biden has been under constant scrutiny for his failure to acknowledge America’s growing immigration problem. Jean-Pierre has remained on the front lines of the fight against the Biden administration’s critics. However, it is clear that the White House’s border policy has been a clear deficiency in the administration.

It’s just a blind spot for this entire White House, this entire administration, that would really prefer not to have to deal with any of the consequences of the policy choices that they’ve made when it comes to the border, and that Alexander Mayorkas have been so terrible at and actually implemented when it comes to the DHS policy involved,” Domenech told FOX Business’ Ashley Webster.

The Biden administration’s border policies have had an apparent impact on voting in the Hispanic community, a demographic of voters that typically has widespread support for the Democratic Party. In the recent midterm elections, Latin American voters seem to have changed their political ideology.

FOX NEWS VOTER ANALYSIS: REPUBLICANS MAKE SIGNIFICANT INDOANCE WITH HISPANIC VOTERS

“Republicans have typically lost the Hispanic vote by double-digit margins going back a very long time in midterm elections. They’ve typically averaged Democrats who have won the Hispanic vote by about 36 points. Last midterm, Republicans cut that in half. They cut that in half in significant difference that they had with Hispanic voters in America. And Hispanic voters are increasingly Republican,” Domenech continued.

The White House has remained silent on the press secretary’s missteps despite the bipartisan criticism the administration has received on social media.
