Video shows devastating destruction in Fort Myers Beach following Ian’s wrath

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – Devastating footage has emerged as Fort Myers Beach residents assess the damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

Fort Myers Beach is effectively gone – many areas have been razed to the ground. The devastation came into focus a day after Ian made landfall in Florida as one of the strongest hurricanes to ever hit the United States

The footage above shows the level of destruction wrought on Times Square in Fort Myers Beach following the wrath of Hurricane Ian.

Below you will see boats destroyed by the storm surge – many were tossed around and some are unsalvageable.
