US gets a taste of down under

Producers of the popular American TV show, A glimpse of historyMLA teamed up with MLA to film two episodes featuring Australian beef and lamb. MLA connected the show’s producers with two farming families – the Hallidays and the Leemings – as well as our head chef, Sam Burke, to showcase all that Australian red meat has to offer to American audiences.

Episode stars Erica Halliday and Tim Leeming are strong advocates for Australian red meat production and are passionate about telling our story. This passion is evident in episodes that delve into Australia’s culture and culinary scene, as well as highlighting the country’s leading sustainable livestock farming practices. Away from the farm gate, Chef Sam Burke hosted the team in his backyard to film an Aussie beef and lamb barbecue.

“Barbecue in Australia” episode, The World Red Meat Day episode featuring Erica Halliday and the Ben Nevis NSW team won a Telly Gold Award. The episode not only showcased Australian red meat, but also some of the regenerative technologies Australian producers are using to create a more sustainable future.
