Three members of the gospel band The Nylons were killed in a tragic plane crash.

The group consists of Kelly Nealon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and Kelly’s daughters Amber Nealon Kistler and Autumn Nealon Streitman.

Kelly, Jason and Amber were among those killed in the crash, along with Amber’s husband Nathan Kessler and three of their friends.

They were traveling to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when the plane crashed over a remote area in the northeast. WyomingThere were no survivors.

Autumn, who was not on the plane, issued a statement Saturday announcing the sad news.

“As many of you have heard by now, my mom and dad, Jason and Kelly Nealon Clark, along with my sister Amber and brother-in-law Nathan, as well as our dear friends Melody Hodges and Larry and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a tragic plane crash on Friday,” she wrote.

“Thank you for your prayers for me, my husband Jamie and our soon-to-be-born baby, as well as Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support as we face the days ahead.”

“The Neilons, one of America’s most beloved gospel music families, were involved in a tragic and fatal plane crash Friday afternoon on their way to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska,” a statement from Gaither Management Group added.

Jason and Kelly Nealon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler, and their co-pilot Melody Hodges, along with pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa, were killed in the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.

Autumn, Jason and Kelly’s youngest daughter, and her husband, Jamie Streetman, were not on the plane and arrived safely in Seattle and were notified of the incident.

They were taken to the hotel where the artists gathered with Bill and Gloria Gaither to pray, sing and embrace them in their grief, pledging to support them in whatever needs arose.

“Autumn and Jamie will now return home with Kelly’s brother, Todd Nealon, and his wife, Rhonda, to begin the difficult tasks ahead of them. Please keep them, the Kessler family, the Haynie family, and the Melody Hodges family in your prayers.”

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened around 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, just north of Gillette.

The death toll has not yet been confirmed.
