Elijah Dewitt, 18, was gunned down as he walked out of the Dave & Buster’s in Sugarloaf Mill Mall last week. DeWitt was a star player for Jefferson High School in Jackson County.

Kamare Bryan, 18, and Chandler Richardson, 19, were arrested days later in Anderson, South Carolina.

New surveillance video from the Gwinnett County Jail shows officers walking Bryan and Richardson inside in handcuffs and ankle cuffs. Video then shows officers manhandling the teenagers, patting them down and taking their booking photos. Bryan and Richardson appear to be cooperating with officers.

A judge denied bond for the teenagers Wednesday, the same day DeWitt’s family is scheduled to have a private funeral.

Channel 2’s Elizabeth Rawlins was in the courtroom when a judge told the pair that they each face felony charges.

“Sir, you have four felonies. Do you know what they are?” said the judge. “Do you know what this means for you? You’re going to be here for a while.”

Police said teenagers targeted DeWitt, although his mother, Dawn DeWitt, said her son did not know Bryan or Richardson.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday evening for a private funeral.
