Mac himself He shared sad news with his followers.
The 41-year-old Sunrise weatherman announced on Instagram Friday that he had lost his beloved cat.
“Today was a very difficult day. We said goodbye to our beautiful cat Catra,” he wrote at the beginning of his long comment.
“Catra was born blind. She had unsuccessful surgery to correct her eyes when she was a kitten, and she almost survived. No one wanted her,” he continued.
“We were supposed to take care of her for a few weeks. Well, here we are almost 13 years later and I am so grateful that my home was her home.”
“Catra was the most wonderful soul,” he continued. “She had no shame in her body… She couldn’t see, but she could feel. She made noises like a lawnmower. She loved having her belly rubbed and her chin scratched more than anyone else.”
Sam said he lost his previous cat, Coco, a few months before his first child, Margot, was born.
“No, we lost Catra a few weeks before my second child was due. There’s a big (emotional) part of me that thinks they were guiding me into the next chapter of my life,” he said.

“If there is one message I want to share right now, it is the immense joy a rescue animal can bring into your life,” Sam explained.
“I truly believe they feel that you have saved them and given them a life full of love. They will repeat your message a thousand times.
“Happy birthday Catra, thank you. We love you and will never forget you.”
Sam and his partner Rebecca James, 35, are expecting their second child together, who was born in February.
The presenter took to Instagram to confirm the happy news with a wonderful family photo..
He also announced the expected due date of his little one, confirming that their second child, whose gender has yet to be revealed, is expected to be born in August.
Their happy news comes just weeks after the couple split. They confirmed that they are engaged. in December.
