Popular streamers and content creators have shared their thoughts on Kai Cenat’s “no accountability” post on Twitch CEO Dan Clancy. For context, on January 14, 2026, Kai Cenat released a one-minute-20-second video on X, showcasing his interaction with Dan Clancy at The Streamer Awards 2025.
During their conversation, the New Yorker appeared to question Clancy’s reasoning for not including him in his Mount Rushmore of Streamers.
After the 62-year-old claimed that a video of his interaction with Matthew “Mizkif” was “edited,” and explained what he meant when listing content creators on his Mount Rushmore of Streamers, Kai Cenat responded by saying:
“No, you had said, like, you already told me I was on the Mount Rushmore because you were in front of me. No, you said to Miz, you said, ‘The only reason you put me on Mount Rushmore is because you was in front of me.’ Yeah. It’s okay, bro.”
Twitch and Kick star Felix “xQc” reacted to Kai Cenat’s X post on the same day. Expressing his belief that Mount Rushmore of Streamers is meant for pioneers and “OGs” in the livestreaming industry, the former Overwatch stated:
“Guys, Mount Rushmore is for the OG. That is the whole point of it. Guys, if you’re going to ask me a Mount Rushmore, and want a non-Mount Rushmore idea… It’s like saying, ‘Guys, who is on Mount Rushmore? Barack Obama, George W. Bush?’ Like, these are modern Presidents. This s**t was carved on a rock like f**king 500 years ago, dude. What the f**k are we doing? Like, what the f**k are we doing?”
After hearing Kai Cenat confront Dan Clancy, xQc burst out laughing and remarked:
“Why is he doing this? I don’t get it! What happened? It’s interesting. Yeah, it’s like an update page because, I’m not hating, it’s just the type of post you expect out of, like, Kick Champ or whatever. You know what I mean? Like, you know, they post the most diabolical s**t like, ‘Kai Cenat decides to scam his fans and move on from building a school.’ It’s like, ‘Okay, dude. Whatever you say, buddy.'”
Mizkif says Kai Cenat’s X post about Twitch CEO Dan Clancy is “lame”
Matthew “Mizkif” has also commented on Kai Cenat’s “no accountability” X post about Dan Clancy, calling the 24-year-old’s actions “lame” and “insecure.” While questioning “what kind of ego” the AMP (Any Means Possible) member “had to be fed,” Mizkif said:
“He’s getting so butthurt over this. I’m sorry. And then he tweets it? That’s so lame to do to Dan. And it’s so insecure. It’s so insecure. Like, why does it matter so much that you’re on that Mount Rushmore? What kind of ego do you need to be fed? That you need to be on that Mount Rushmore, bro? You’re not on Mount Rushmore; it makes no sense. The OG streamers like Reckful would be on Mount Rushmore. Like Lirik. Like Soda. Why would you be on Mount Rushmore? You’re not old. You’re the new.”
YouTuber Kavos says Kai Cenat needs to “check his ego”
British YouTuber Kavos quote-tweeted Kai Cenat’s “no accountability” X post, questioning what Dan Clancy had to take accountability for. Claiming that Cenat’s exclusion from Clancy’s Mount Rushmore of Streamers “isn’t that deep,” Kavos wrote:
“I think the Twitch CEO is a weirdo as much as the next guy But wtf is this tweet from Kai Accountability for what? Having an opinion that he doesn’t think your are one of best streamers. I mean seriously, check your ego. Isn’t that deep.”
As of this writing, Kai Cenat has not responded to streamers‘ criticisms.
