A new shopping centre – featuring a popular supermarket, news agency and medical centre – has opened south of Perth.
Stargate Baldivis Shopping Centre opened its doors on July 24, revealing Woolworths, The Lucky Charm, Pharmacy 777 and Baldivis North Medical Centre.
Customers have expressed their delight at the new centre on Facebook, saying the design is great and that Woolworths stores are well stocked.
However, other residents were confused by the number of businesses operating at the center, located at 114 Amazon Drive.
Despite claiming to offer “14 specialty stores”, only four are open.
“What are the other 8 stores? Only 4 are listed. Cafes? Restaurants? Other food options? Specialty stores?” one person asked on Facebook.
The Stargate Shopping Centres account responded to the user, saying: “More stores will be opening at Stargate Baldivis, but for now, these four stores are scheduled to open on the 24th. Stay tuned for more exciting additions coming soon!”
Popular sandwich restaurant Subway, a fish and chip shop and a cafe are believed to be the next projects to open in the centre.
