Queen Camilla wowed at the State Opening of Parliament by wearing an £800,000 diamond tiara with “incredible attention to detail”, according to a fashion expert.

The State Opening of Parliament was held in the House of Lords, marking the official start of the new parliamentary session.

Tony French, Regional Sales Manager at Austin & Black, spoke exclusively to GB News to describe Queen Camilla’s headpiece.

“There has been a lot of anticipation about what headdress Queen Camilla might wear to celebrate her 77th birthday, which coincides with the State Opening of Parliament,” he said.

She wore the famous diamond tiara, which is estimated to be worth around £800,000.

The royal headpiece is embellished with diamonds and pearls, with exquisite attention to detail.

During the day’s ceremony, Black Rod was sent to summon the House of Commons to hear the King’s speech in the House of Lords.
