Prince Harry has issued a major statement after Invictus Games CEO Dominic Reid announced he would be stepping down from his charity.
The Duke of Sussex praised Dominic for being “dedicated” and turning the Invictus Games into an “internationally recognised movement”.
In a heartfelt note on Friday, the former royal said: “I am deeply grateful to my friend Dominic, whose dedication and leadership have helped transform the Invictus Games from an ambitious idea into an internationally recognised movement.
“His tireless efforts over the past decade have supported thousands of wounded, injured and sick service members and veterans through sports rehabilitation, helping to showcase their strength and unparalleled contribution to society,” he added.
Expressing his gratitude to his former charity chairman, Harry said: “It has been an incredible journey and we are fortunate to work with such a wonderful community of people.”
“It has been an amazing journey, and we are so lucky to work with such a wonderful community of people,” shared King Charles’ youngest son.
It is worth noting that Dominic’s resignation came after Harry received the Pat Tillman Service Award at the 2024 ESPYS Awards after a backlash.
