A chocolate brand dubbed the “best in the world” has launched a new bar in Woolworths and Coles stores that fans have described as “exceptional”.
New Zealand chocolate company Whittaker’s, known for its iconic ‘creamy milk’ products, recently launched a mango and caramelised coconut chocolate bar in its home country which has become an instant hit.
Its popularity was so great that the New Zealand confectionery company decided to add the white chocolate bar to its growing range sold in Australia, where it was also met with positive reviews.
After the item sold for $8, it was sold in both Woolworths And ColesIt hit store shelves this month, and shoppers were pretty excited about it — with some declaring it the brand’s “best flavor yet.”

“It’s so good, I can honestly say it’s amazing,” agreed another.
Meanwhile, an Australian woman, who claims to have had “bad” experiences with Whittaker’s chocolate in the past, has expressed her shock after tasting the new 250g chocolate bar.
“Oh my god, this is so delicious. What is this thing actually?” I declared.
Whittaker’s said the response to the unique flavour combination had been “overwhelmingly positive”, adding that the company was “delighted” to be able to bring its chocolate to Australia through its partnerships at Coles and Woolworths.
“Many Australians have appreciated the unique and wonderful flavour combination of our latest block,” a company spokesperson told news.com.au.
“This reception confirms our belief that our chocolate lovers are always looking for new and exciting chocolate experiences.
“The mango coconut block was inspired by the popular Thai dessert, mango sticky rice.”
This bar features pieces of mango and toasted coconut coated in caramelized Whittaker’s white chocolate.
“I bought it, tried it, and loved it. Thank you Whittaker’s, best chocolate ever,” one delighted customer wrote online.
“Whittaker’s is the best chocolate cube maker I’ve ever made,” agreed another.
As one simply added: “The elite.”
The New Zealand brand, based in Porirua on the North Island, said it was overwhelmed by the support it was receiving for its “world-class” chocolate.
“It is a true honor to have such a special place in the store, and this recognition is a testament to our unwavering dedication to delivering taste and satisfaction,” said a company spokesperson.
“This not only underscores our commitment to quality and innovation, but also inspires us to continue providing high quality products to chocolate lovers in Australia.”
Whittaker’s also won the ‘Most Satisfied Customer’ title in the latest Canstar Blue Chocolate Blocks ranking in May.
“Australia has spoken, and we have received five-star ratings in key categories, including taste, texture, consistency, variety, range, packaging and overall satisfaction,” the brand added.
“We couldn’t be more proud of this achievement, and it shows that making chocolate the good, honest way doesn’t go unnoticed.
“The love and appreciation we received was exceptional.”
It’s not the first time Whittaker’s, a family-owned company that has been making chocolate for more than a century, has caused a stir by launching a new chocolate block in Australia.
The brand’s Hazella bar, which is made with 33 percent cocoa milk chocolate with a center of hazelnuts and gianduja, This service impressed shoppers when it was launched. In Big W stores in October.
It has proven so successful that it has now been expanded into Australian supermarkets, making it easier for chocolate lovers to get what they want.
