A man has died after a multi-vehicle crash in northern Sydney.
Two cars collided on Pittwater Road, near Vineyard Street, in Monaville at about 2.15pm today.
A male driver was trapped inside a car after the collision and paramedics were unable to revive him after he was extricated, New South Wales Police said.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for assessment.
The northbound lane of Pittwater Road is closed due to a single vehicle wreck on the roadway.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
Anyone with dashcam footage has been urged to contact their local police or Crimestoppers.
