
Charlotte Middlehurst of joining the Financial Times print team as an assistant news editor.
Middlehurst has been an assistant news editor on the UK desk, where she oversaw public policy, health and sport coverage. Before that she was on the FT’s breaking news desk and the Opinion desk.
Before joining the FT, she worked in China as an editor and freelance reporter for titles including the Economist and The Telegraph. She studied Mandarin at Shanghai Jiaotong University and previously worked for the independent.
Middlehurst holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester and a master’s degree from City St. George’s, University of London.
