Meghan Markle regrets marrying into royal family

Meghan Markle is reportedly yearning for her “old life” before her marriage to Prince Harry amid reports of a new investigative documentary about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Skynews.com.au digital correspondent Riley Sullivan discusses whether Meghan Markle will enter politics as she builds her “network” with Democrats. It comes in the wake of reports that the Duchess of Sussex will formally endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee. “I wouldn’t be surprised if she uses this as an opportunity to build her platform in Washington DC,” he said.

Meghan Markle, 42, was a successful actress on the legal drama Suits, but left the show before her royal wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

Less than two years later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “stepped back” from royal duties to pursue their business lives in California, but Markle reportedly regrets her decision to give up her acting career.

On Friday, a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told OK! magazine that the Duchess of Sussex misses her “carefree” life as an A-list actress.

“Meghan has made no secret of how much she misses her carefree life as an actress, and while she would never change what she has with Harry and the kids, there is a big part of her that wishes she could have her old life back,” the source said.

“She loved working on Suits and all the opportunities it gave her, being invited to all the exclusive events and having the chance to hang out with Hollywood stars, but there was a lot less scrutiny and attention and no pressure on her.”

The vision comes months after Meghan told an audience at a film festival in Texas that she refuses to look at social media to protect her mental health.

Meghan’s life before meeting Harry will also be put under the microscope in an upcoming German investigative documentary.

Ms. Grunwald and her team traveled from Europe to Montecito, California, to speak to Harry and Meghan’s neighbors and get an inside look into their private lives.

Last week, it was announced that the project was on hold while Ms. Grunwald and her team sought legal advice on claims made in the documentary.

“The team wants to make sure everything that has been used about Meghan Markle is true,” a source told the Express.

“Every detail will be double checked and verified to ensure it is legally sound and factually correct.”
