Police are baffled after a body was found in a storm drain in a residential area in eastern Perth.
The gruesome discovery was made by a member of the public at around 11am on Thursday near Marlborough and Morrison Road in Swan View, and emergency services were immediately called to the scene.
But the man’s identity and how long his body was there before it was found remain a mystery.
Channel 9 News reported that police are searching a nearby creek and have spoken to residents living in an apartment building near where the man’s body was found, but have yet to find answers to crucial questions.
Residents said it was “horrifying” to know that something so terrible had happened so close to where their children were.
The death is being treated as suspicious, as police continue to investigate how the man died.
