Man dies from stab wounds in Sydney’s inner-west and 15-year-old boy arrested

A man in his 30s has died from his injuries after being stabbed in Concord early this morning.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and is being questioned by police.

Police say young people should not be carrying knives on the streets.

A 15-year-old boy has surrendered to police after a man died from stab wounds in Sydney’s inner west.

Police were called to a home on Spring Street in Concord around 12:30 a.m. today after reports of a stabbing.

Police said they found a man in his 30s with stab wounds to his torso outside a home.

Paramedics treated the man but he died at the scene.

Superintendent Christine McDonald said the teen and his mother called police before he was arrested.

Police have not yet officially identified the victim, and do not know if there is any relationship between the two.

“This tragic incident serves as a timely reminder of the young people who choose to carry knives on our streets,” Superintendent McDonald said.

“No good can come from young people carrying knives in our streets.”

Investigators found the knife at the scene and it was also taken into custody, along with a vehicle.

“The vehicle that was seized is part of our investigation… We know the victim arrived at the scene in that vehicle,” she said.

The crime scene was located at the home, but Superintendent McDonald said no one involved in the incident survived.

She urged anyone who may have information to contact the crime squad.
