“I was raised as Will, but on the rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”
He added that children would ask him why he had to correct teachers every time they called him by his preferred name.
“I don’t know why it was so awkward for me to explain, ‘I’m actually Will.’
“People will probably listen to this and say, ‘This is the worst thing ever,'” he joked.
“We just lost a guy named John,” Christina added.
