Madonna’s 18-year-old son David Banda says he is “hunting” for food after moving out of his mother’s multi-million dollar home.
“I love it. I’m not alone, I have my girlfriend. But I love it,” Banda, who is dating 21-year-old model Maria Atuesta, said in a recent Instagram Live session. New York Post Reports.
“It’s great to experience it’s 9 p.m., and I’m hungry and I know I don’t have enough money to buy food and go look for food. It’s fun to be young.”
Panda is said to live in the Bronx and earn his own money by teaching guitar.
His new lifestyle seems to be a far cry from that of his mother, who is said to be worth $850 million and has an impressive real estate portfolio on the East Coast.
Panda charges $200 for guitar lessons, which can be booked through his Instagram page.
He has also worked as a model.
Banda, one of Madonna’s six children, also confirmed that his superstar mother is “not single” and is “dating a man.”
Last year, Madge, 65, was linked to boxer Josh Popper, 29, but in May, the pair reportedly split. Despite reports that the pop star was getting close to fighter Richard Riakbor, 34, he has since denied the rumours, claiming the pair are just friends.
On her Celebration tour, Madonna added four of her children to the stage.
“I think what my kids have learned more than anything in this year of training and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them,” she told W magazine.
“And if each of them chooses something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat and tears.”
In a previous interview with Vogue in 2019, the Grammy Award-winning artist praised Banda’s work ethic and talent.
“What he has more than anything is focus and determination,” Madonna said of Banda, who was adopted by her ex-husband Guy Ritchie as a baby.
“I’m pretty sure he inherited those traits from me. He’s the person I have a lot in common with. I feel like he understands me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far. Let’s see what happens – it’s still early days for everyone.”
