Shardul Thakur’s Early Breakthroughs Restrict SRH
LSG Triumphs Over SRH as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) continued their impressive IPL campaign with a commanding five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday. The match was set up by Shardul Thakur’s sensational bowling performance, which saw him claim 4/34, restricting SRH to 190/9.
After opting to bowl first, LSG made an immediate impact as Thakur removed Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the third over. Sharma mistimed a pull shot, while Kishan edged one down the leg side to the keeper.
In response, LSG’s batting lineup showed composure, with captain KL Rahul anchoring the chase with a well-paced half-century. Contributions from Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran helped LSG cross the finish line with five wickets in hand and a few balls to spare, solidifying their position as one of the top contenders in the tournament.
