Decorating a home can cost a fortune, but in today’s economy, it’s more expensive than ever.

While buying a few pillows or a nice sofa cover used to be a necessity, it has now become too expensive for many.

In fact, the products look strikingly similar, as both pillows are made of a thin polyester fabric and feature stripes running across them to resemble a basketball.

However, there is one big difference between the two: price.

Trit House is selling the large 13.5-inch bubble pillow for $140. The smaller 9.5-inch pillow is $90 and is currently sold out.

“They look so similar,” one claimed.

“I know which one I’m going to buy,” shared another.

“They are identical,” one of them declared.

Kmart said the pillow, one of a host of new bouclé pieces added to stores in its new August Living collection, has already proven to be popular with consumers.

“The Boucle Ball cushion is inspired by the contemporary trend of bold, sculptural shapes that are becoming incorporated into easy-to-style pieces,” a company spokesperson told news.com.au.

“They can be easily coordinated on sofas, beds, reading nooks or window seats to add interest and comfort to any Australian home.”

The company added that despite being a “trend,” bouclé fabric — which has gained increasing popularity in recent years — is “here to stay.”

“It has become a staple in the homeware industry because it is so versatile and easy to use in any space.

Kmart customers love bouclé pieces for their durable texture and comfort, adding a cozy feel to any space.

“We are sure that the Boucle will continue to be very popular with our customers.”

Kmart added that it is offering these “fashionable items” at affordable prices in an effort to help make “small luxuries accessible to every Australian”.

“One of the most popular pieces in the Boucle collection is the Boucle Timber Chair,” said a Kmart spokesperson.

“It can be designed as a statement piece in the living room, as a reading nook in the bedroom, or in a home office for added elegance.”

Shoppers went crazy when this gadget, which makes “crispy” toasted sandwiches in minutes, hit store shelves – with some calling it a “game-changer”.

“My kids will love this product, it’s much quicker to clean than a sandwich press and much easier to make than a frying pan,” said one person online.

“It’s so good for a quick snack,” another asked.

While a third said: “This is perfect because our kitchen doesn’t have room for a sandwich press.”
