Australian pop queen Kylie Minogue appeared to drop some big news on Australian radio today, admitting she’s gearing up for a long-awaited tour of Australia, before promptly correcting herself: “I probably wasn’t supposed to say that…”
Minogue appeared on Vivi, Viv and Nick from The Fox When asked if an Australian tour was “in the works”.
“Oh… I want to say yes. Yes. The answer is yes! We’re just working out the details,” Minogue said. “I probably wasn’t supposed to say that, but yes!”
This comes after Minogue’s triumphant appearance at the huge British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park over the weekend.
Minogue delivered a set full of hits, and was joined on stage by pop stars Tove Lo and Bebe Rexha to perform their newly released collaboration, Oh, my God.
The star seemed to be having a great time: Behind the scenes shots Shared on social media The footage showed Minogue being carried from her dressing room to the stage by actors (and loyal Kylie fans) Andrew Scott and Jonathan Bailey.
This ray of hope for an Australian tour comes at just the right time for Kylie’s Aussie fans: She hasn’t toured here since her Golden Tour in March 2019, but was scheduled to headline the Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay this week.
