Kelmscott, Perth: Teenager has spleen removed, in induced coma after alleged horror stabbing

A teenager has had his spleen removed and remains in an induced coma after a horrific stabbing attack allegedly during a fight between six other boys in Perth’s southeast.

Investigators are now appealing for the public’s help in the alleged incident on Friday after two other teenagers were seen running away armed with knives.

A West Australian Police spokeswoman said a fight broke out between a group of up to six young people at 3pm that day on Ravenscroft Road near Regina Drive in Kelmscott.

The teenage victim, aged 16, was allegedly stabbed in the stomach.

The spokeswoman said the child remains in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital.

“The patient had his spleen removed and will need another surgery. He remains in critical but stable condition in the hospital,” she added.

Investigators are seeking to identify the two people pictured below who can assist them in the investigation.

One male is described as having light skin, short brown hair, wearing a black shirt with white trim, black shorts, and white shoes.

The second man was described as having fair skin, a mustache, wearing a black jacket, black pants with white stripes, black shoes, and a black hat.

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed this incident, has any information relating to it or has CCTV, dash cam or mobile phone footage of the above area between 2.25pm ​​and 3.30pm, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
