The Kelly Clarkson Show is officially coming to a close after its seventh season, the show announced Monday in a heartfelt statement from host Kelly Clarkson. The decision marks the end of one of daytime TV’s most popular and award-winning talk shows, after nearly seven years on the air.
Clarkson, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter turned daytime host, said she’s choosing to step away from the daily grind to focus on her family — particularly her two children — amid a personal chapter that’s been both joyful and challenging.
“Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” Clarkson wrote in her Instagram announcement. “This isn’t goodbye… you never know where I might show up next.”
Since its 2019 debut, The Kelly Clarkson Show has become a mainstay of daytime TV with its signature mix of celebrity interviews, heartfelt storytelling, and Clarkson’s beloved “Kellyoke” musical performances. The series has earned multiple Daytime Emmy Awards, drawing viewers with its warm, upbeat energy and authentic connection to everyday people and big stars alike.
The show’s seventh season will continue production as scheduled, with new episodes airing through Fall 2026. Clarkson will host the remaining episodes, and the series plans to feature special guest hosts throughout its swan song run.

Clarkson’s announcement comes after a profoundly emotional period in her life. In August 2025, her ex-husband and former manager, Brandon Blackstock, died following a battle with melanoma; a loss Clarkson has spoken about publicly as she has balanced her career and parenting responsibilities.
In her statement, Clarkson expressed gratitude for her production team, the show’s fans, and her network partners, reflecting on the show’s impact and the community it built over its run. She also reassured supporters that she isn’t disappearing — plans remain for her to continue releasing music, performing occasionally, and possibly making appearances on shows like The Voice.
