Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 18 On Monday, just over a month after the tech giant announced the program at its annual conference, Global Developers Conference In June. You can Customize your lock screen And Schedule messages to send later In iOS 18, there’s an exciting new feature that’ll make your texts even more fun: the ability to use more Tab back — Apple’s version of Reactions. We recommend only downloading the beta on a device other than your primary device. Since this is not the final version of iOS 18, the update may be buggy and battery life may be short, and it’s best to keep these issues on a secondary device.
Note that the beta is not the final version of iOS 18, so there may be more features coming to your iPhone when iOS 18 is released. Apple has said that iOS 18 will be released to the public this fall, but there is no specific date yet.
Here’s how to use all the emojis and stickers to respond to texts in messages.
How to access all Tapbacks emojis
1. Opens Messages.
2. Click on the correct chat.
3. Long press on the message.
4. In the Tapbacks bubble at the top of the message, swipe right and tap the smiley face.
This will bring up the emoji keyboard at the bottom of the screen. You can scroll through the emojis or use the search function to find the emoji you want to use.
You can also tap the sticker icon — the folded circle — near the left side of the emoji keyboard to access ready-made stickers and stickers you’ve previously created. Custom StickersThis means you can reply to someone’s message with a sticker of your pet if you want – and who doesn’t want to see more pets?
Keep in mind that iOS 18 is still in beta, so these features may be buggy or not work properly. There will likely be more betas before the OS is released to the public, so there’s plenty of time for Apple to address any issues. But as of now, there’s no word on when Apple will release iOS 18.
