The fallout from Elon Musk’s comments that his transgender daughter was “murdered” by someone has escalated, with singer Grimes now weighing in.
Vivian Jenna Wilson, Elon Musk’s transgender daughter, has hit back at the Tesla CEO after he claimed she was “killed by the awakened mind virus.”
The singer defended her ex-husband Elon Musk’s 20-year-old transgender daughter on Thursday with an explicit social media post.
“I love Vivienne and will forever be proud of her,” Grimes, 36, wrote on Twitter/X, Mr Musk’s social media platform.
The artist’s statement came three days after news of Musk’s death, 53, broke due to his claim that his daughter and ex-wife Justine Wilson, Vivian Wilson, was “Killed by the awakened mind virus.”
The Tesla founder, who used his estranged son’s former male name during a conversation with Dr. Jordan Peterson, claimed he was “essentially tricked into signing documents” for Vivian’s gender reassignment surgery, The New York Times reported. Page Six of the New York Post column.

“There was a lot of confusion,” Musk said in an interview with The Daily Wire on Monday, recalling being told that Vivienne “might commit suicide” if she didn’t undergo the procedure.
Elsewhere in the Q&A session, Musk vowed to “destroy the awakened mind virus” and claimed to be “making progress” in the field.
Vivian responded on Thursday, writing her response on Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads platform rather than X, which her father bought in 2022.

“I look pretty good for a dead bitch,” I wrote.
Vivian went on to dismantle specific “false” claims made by Mr. Musk, of her “choice.”[ing] From “dressing up” for him at age four to being obsessed with musical theater.
She also explained that she was the one who “disowned him”, saying: “He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he simply wasn’t around, and in the little time he did I was subjected to relentless harassment because of my femininity and my homosexuality.”

“But if I’m not a woman… sure, Jean. Whatever you say. I’m legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don’t care what my inferiors think.”
Mr Musk revealed that he and Vivienne had separated in October 2022, four months after she received a name and gender change.

The former couple were also the parents of son Nevada, who died at 10 weeks old in 2002.
Additionally, Mr. Musk has three children with Chiffon Zilis and Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher.
The songwriter, who dated Mr Musk on and off from 2018 to 2022, gave birth to son X AE A-XII and welcomed daughter Exa via surrogate in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
The couple did not share any details about their third child, Tecno.
