It looks like Google is about to move away from the HDMI dongle design for all its previous streaming devices in favor of a traditional set-top box. 9to5Google Google has released images of its upcoming product, which is apparently called the “Google TV Streamer.” So, not only look Previous Chromecast devices will be gone, but the name will be gone too.
The new device has a sloping top, and the overall design is in line with other recent Google devices. As for the included remote, it’s largely the same as the one that came with the last-generation Chromecast, though this one is longer and has a volume control button on the front.
