Mildura General Hospital and Victoria’s Health Minister have rejected claims that access to local emergency care could end amid budget cuts.
Melbourne media reported on Sunday that the Melbourne General Hospital board had approved a proposal sent to the Department of Health to close the emergency department and end paediatric care in order to break even in the current financial year.
