Drew Barrymore opens up about her secret battle with ‘self-doubt’ ahead of her visit to Australia in five years
Actress Drew Barrymore recently opened up about her secret battle with “self-doubt” as she prepares to visit Australia for the first time in five years.
During a candid interview with Sunday Telegraph Ahead of her visit, the 49-year-old actress, who is set to appear on stage as a guest of honor at Wanderlust’s True North event, revealed her ongoing struggle with self-doubt.
The actress added that she turned to alcohol and other methods to “escape” the thought process.
“I was in the least safe place I had ever known, and that’s why I was always going out or drinking or doing all sorts of things to escape that cage,” she said.
Drew, known for her roles in Charlie’s Angels And wedding singer “I don’t know, I’m going to be 50 and I have to build a house here that’s fun to live in because the outside world is not under my control,” he explained.
“I want to be able to turn inward and know that I can find some peace, which is shocking to events.”
