Tyeisha Bridges, 32, and Shatoya Lewis, 25, are accused of stealing several thousand dollars’ worth of merchandise from an Old Navy store in Hanover.

Two Connecticut women are facing organized retail crime charges in connection with alleged thefts at an Old Navy clothing store in Hanover last summer, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz announced Friday.

Tyeisha Bridges, 32, and Shatoya Lewis, 25, were recently arrested in New York and extradited to Massachusetts for their arraignment Thursday, Cruz said in a statement shared on X. The pair face one count each of organized retail crime, larceny over $1,200, larceny under $1,200, and two counts of conspiracy. Both women pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Bridges was placed on $4,000 cash bail, and Lewis was placed on $6,000 cash bail, Cruz said.

Prosecutors allege that the women collaborated to steal merchandise from the Hanover store on two separate occasions — once in July and again in August of 2024. According to Cruz, local police responded to the retailer on July 9, after receiving reports of three women carrying bags of clothing out of the store without paying. Investigators later identified Bridges and Lewis as two of the three alleged thieves.

In that incident, Old Navy loss prevention employees determined that 253 pieces of merchandise were stolen, costing a total of $3,950. Prosecutors say both women were subsequently connected to a separate theft at the same store on Aug. 20. In that incident, loss prevention found that $920 in merchandise was allegedly stolen.

“As consumers, we all pay the price when people steal from stores. Our Organized Retail Crime Task Force continues its work prosecuting large-scale thefts from Plymouth County retailers,” Cruz said on X.

Bridges and Lewis were also arrested in New York last month for allegedly carrying out similar thefts at Kohl’s retail stores in Cortlandt Manor and Bedford, according to New York State Police.

They’re scheduled to appear in a Massachusetts court again on April 29 for a pre-trial hearing.
