TOKYO — Canon Inc. is set to launch a flagship mirrorless camera this fall, following similar models from Sony and Nikon, as the company looks to retain professional customers and fend off challenges from rivals as the number one camera maker.
The EOS R1’s standout feature is its autofocus, which can capture volleyball players’ facial expressions even when the shot is shot through a net. The camera can focus on a single subject even when another person is standing in front of the subject.
