The bodies of a man and a woman have been found floating in the Maribyrnong River in Melbourne.
Victoria Police said the man’s body was first spotted by a member of the public in the water near Saltriver Place in Footscray at about 9am on Sunday.
About 90 minutes later, a passerby found a woman’s body in the water near Smithfield Road in Flemington.
The bodies have not yet been identified, and police are investigating whether the deaths are suspicious and whether there are any links between the two bodies.
