Cameron Matheson, who played Terblanche’s on-screen husband, Ryan Lavery, on All My Children, took to his Instagram Stories to respond to the news.
“May God have mercy on her soul, my beloved princess,” he said, describing her as “one of the sweetest people ever.”
Terblanche is best known for her role as troublemaking Hungarian princess Gillian Andrássy Lavery on the ABC television series All My Children, which ran from 1997 to 2001.
Terblanche was born in South Africa and was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in 1991.
She began her career in television series with the local production of the series Egoli: Place of Gold from 1992 to 1995.
After two years she moved to the United States where she got a role in the series All My Children.
Most recently, the actress has been splitting her time between South Africa and the United States.
