In emotional video Ms Finlayson shared this information on her social media on Tuesday, however, Ms Finlayson revealed that this is no longer the case.

“So, it’s not great news, but it’s not the worst news either, I guess,” she said.

“Unfortunately, when it comes to cancer, especially recurrent cancer, it grows very quickly.

“Once we see no more than a millimeter of growth on the scan over a few months, we know that means it’s growing and that means we need to take action on it.”

“So, I usually come out of a meeting with my oncologist and he says we’re happy to wait and see. But that didn’t happen today. I’m going to see a surgeon next week and a radiation therapist as well just to get all the options before I start chemo again.

“I think I’m one of the lucky ones because we know that chemotherapy works very well for me, but any chemotherapy is bad and not what I want to do.”

Although chemotherapy may help stop the spread of Ms Finlayson’s cancer, she said a “complete cure is unlikely” for her.
Ms. Finlayson was candid about how difficult her previous experience with chemotherapy was, describing it in an interview with the mom “The worst time of my life.”

“No one knows how difficult or dangerous treatment is unless you go through it. Many people keep the pain to themselves because they don’t want their family members to feel guilty,” she explained.

“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” Ms. Finlayson said when explaining it to her husband.
