Prajanchai: “It will end early”

Malaysian-Thai sensation Aliff Sor Dechapan is looking for no less than a knockout finish in a proposed title clash against ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.

The top strawweight contender earned a shot at the world title following his latest victory at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Dec. 5 in Thailand, where he dominated Ramadan Ondash of Lebanon on his way to a unanimous decision victory.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Aliff Sor Dechapan shared how he believes his proposed title showdown with Prajanchai will not go the distance, given the fighting style that they both have.

“The chance for a knockout is always there – both for me and him. We cannot shut our eyes to each other’s power. It can end early, and I think it will end early.”

The win at ONE Fight Night 38 was the fifth straight for Aliff while improving his overall record in ONE Championship to 9-2.

While the title clash between Prajanchai and Aliff has been confirmed, the date and venue are still to be determined.

Aliff Sor Dechapan determined to seize strawweight gold from Prajanchai

Aliff Sor Dechapan cannot wait to get his hands on the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title currently in the possession of Prajanchai. He has expressed his readiness for whenever the showdown is officially set.

He brought it forth in the same interview with Sportskeeda MMA, underscoring that winning the world title is primary in his goals at the moment, doing it not only for himself but also for Malaysia.

Aliff said:

“I have nothing much to say to him, but I want to let him know that I’m coming for his belt. Let’s put on a show for the fans. And, hopefully, I will be the one to stop him in Muay Thai so I can become Malaysia’s first ONE world champion.”

Prajanchai last defended the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title in February, scoring a fourth-round TKO win over British challenger Ellis Badr Barboza.
