1 woman killed in shooting at Durham convenience store

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) — Durham police arrested two men in connection with a shooting that left a woman dead at a convenience store in Durham Friday night.

Jaquez Reddick, 23, and Tracy Crawford, 18, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Saturday.

Officers responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound around 1 p.m. 9pm at Royals Mini Mart on Cheek Road and Hardee Street. When officers arrived, they found Karizma Mebane, 21, who had been shot. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the shooting does not appear to be random.
